The 6 Days Rongai Route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the quieter northeastern side near the Kenyan border. This trek passes above the Amboseli plains, offering scenic views and a gradual ascent profile. You have two summit variations: via Mawenzi Tarn Hut or via School Hut (Outward Bound Hut). Both routes provide a challenging and rewarding climb to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) while avoiding the crowds of southern routes.
